Information we collect
- Information you send us, such as an email with a news tip or correction request. We use it only to respond and to report the story or correction.

- Cookies and similar technologies, described below.
Cookies
- Essential: we store your cookie choice in your browser (local storage key
cc_v1) so we do not ask again. - Advertising (only with your consent): this site may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings or, for third-party vendors, at aboutads.info. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Your choices
Until you choose, non-essential storage is off: we use Google Consent Mode, which defaults ad storage, ad user data, ad personalisation and analytics storage to "denied". You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer. If you reject, any ads shown are non-personalised.
