York Region has issued a public notice regarding planned rehabilitation and upgrade work at the Nobleton Sewage Pumping Station. The facility is located at 66 Janet Avenue within the community of Nobleton, situated in the Township of King.
As a direct result of the upcoming construction activities, local residents and drivers should expect an increase in heavy truck traffic. Construction vehicles will be traveling along Parkview Drive, Crestview Road, and Janet Avenue to enter and exit the station site.
The project is scheduled to begin in fall 2026 and run through summer 2028. Construction activities and corresponding vehicle movements are scheduled to take place on Monday and Friday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Regional officials stated that every effort will be made to reduce disruptions for nearby residents and road users throughout the duration of the project. As with standard municipal infrastructure operations, work schedules may be adjusted or rescheduled due to adverse weather or unforeseen site conditions. In such cases, York Region plans to issue advance notification whenever feasible.

What it means for residents
For residents in Nobleton and commuters traveling through King Township, this project highlights ongoing municipal investments to modernize core wastewater infrastructure across York Region. While the site is confined to Janet Avenue, the designated truck haul routes along Parkview Drive and Crestview Road mean that neighboring residential streets will experience regular heavy vehicle movements during operating hours. Drivers in this pocket of Nobleton should prepare for potential daytime delays and share the road cautiously with turning industrial traffic. In the broader Greater Toronto Area context, proactive pumping station upgrades are critical to supporting community maintenance and environmental standards, ensuring wastewater systems keep pace with regional needs.
